Any one of two channels for tennis

Is it just me who gets frustrated with the continual chopping and changing of channels to watch tennis?

I am watching Djokovic and all of a sudden the match switched to Delpotro v Fererra. Sue Barker dutifully informs me that I can continue to watch the Djolovic match on the red button. I can't be bothered to get up for my remote, so I settle down to watch Delpotro v Ferrera..

After watching about a set, Sue pops up on the screen again to say that they are now returning to the Djokovic match. If I want to continue watching Delpotro I should turn over to BBC2.

What's that all about. Surely it would have been easier to leave the Djokovic match on BBC1 and then put Del Potro on BBC2 when the tennis started on that cannel 30 minutes later.

And from my point of view I am about to go out and want to record the Murray game. Which channel do I record.

Tax Credits

Why is it that when trying to claim child tax credits they need you to ring up and tell them how much you earned last year? Bloody Palaver, when with the click of a button I am sure they know how much I earned from details issued in another office round the corner.  If they can't, why not? Is it not the tax office that issue the P60 and P45 forms in the first place

I am sure if I give them false information they will be back to tell me pretty quick smart along with a some sort of penalty for doing so.

Or is it just a way of not paying out to a number of people who can't be bothered or don't know they are entitled to Tax credits.

Mmmmmm.

School holiday (or is it?)

As a parent, we are constantly reminded that you should not take your child out of school for holidays. You are neglecting their education, disrupting the teachers schedule etc. As a parent we are probably in the minority when it comes to keeping to the rules. This ultimately costs more money to go away but we feel our son's education is worth it. All that said I find it extremely frustrating that having stuck to the rules and paid extra money for the privilege my son gets a school project to do whilst he is supposedly having a week off from school. Hardly a holiday is it? We have spent a day trying to do a project when we get home trying to fit in all those other things that need doing after a holiday.  Of course all the children whose parents took them out of school to go on holiday have plenty of time to do the project

Why can't the schools individually spread their half terms and summer breaks to different times so that the holiday companies can't manipulate the prices

The Apprentice

Having watched the first episode of  the recent series of The Apprentice, I have decided enough is enough; I can no longer watch these obnoxious arrogant upstarts parading as businessmen and women. However I may well watch 'Your fired' as I quite enjoy seeing Dara O'Brien put them in their place and revealing them for what they are. Nasty insidious bullies who will tread on anyone to get what they want.

Why we have to barter for a better deal

'Dear Virgin Media I wish to change to Talk Talk becasue they are £4 a month cheaper than you and give me free phone calls.'
'No problem Sir because you are a loyal customer, we can now offer yet another £5 off and give you bigger broadband; free calls and Tivo.'
'So thats a saving of at least £12 a month with so much more. Why do I have to threaten to leave to get a better deal?
'We don't know who is disatisfied and can't afford to ring everyone to tell them about our great deals.

Utter Rubbish me thinks! Why not just give us all the best deal you can, and then we all know where we stand.
